How to Find and Defeat Billy the Puppet in Fortnite's Fortnitemares 2024

Players are challenged with finding and defeating Billy, the infamous puppet mascot from the SAW franchise. This limited-time quest offers a spooky yet rewarding experience for those daring enough to face Billy and claim the 20,000 XP reward. Here’s a guide to help you locate and defeat this horror icon in Fortnite Battle Royale.

Where to Find Billy in Fortnite

Billy can be found at Freaky Fields, a newly haunted location where Reckless Railways used to be. Specifically, head to the large white farmhouse in the homestead area. Once inside, go to the ground floor and look for a TV at the centre of the room.

To summon Billy, interact with the TV by holding down the appropriate button for your platform (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or E on PC). Once activated, the TV will display an eerie image of Billy before he bursts out of the screen, initiating the boss fight.

Since this quest is bound to attract a lot of attention, it’s wise to drop at Freaky Fields as soon as possible after jumping from the Battle Bus. Arriving early gives you a better shot at defeating Billy before other players interfere.

How to Beat Billy

After summoning Billy, he will immediately rush toward you, wielding his pickaxe. Unlike regular NPCs, Billy is much taller and more aggressive, charging at you with a constant barrage of pickaxe swings. Each hit from Billy's pickaxe deals 12 damage, so keeping your distance is crucial.

Billy has around 500-600 HP, so you’ll need to stay mobile and unload your weapons on him. Avoid trying to engage him in close combat, his relentless attacks will quickly drain your health. Focus on using ranged weapons to whittle down his health, and keep your shields topped off to survive his onslaught.

Once Billy is defeated, he’ll drop valuable loot, including:

  • Shield Potion x1

  • FlowBerry Fizz x1

  • Sovereign Shotgun (Epic) – a powerful close-range weapon

  • Boom Billy x3 – explosive items to help in future battles
