Square Enix Reveals Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: New Characters, Locations, and Editions

Square Enix recently unveiled a trove of details about the much-anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The announcement, featuring captivating artwork, screenshots, and a trailer, has set the stage for the game's launch on February 29.

In a comprehensive blog post, akin to a November update, Square Enix shared insights into the fighting styles of new party members, Yuffie and Cait Sith, Elena's revamped appearance, pre-order options, and more.

Yuffie, emphasizing speed and raw damage, wields a large throwing star and utilizes magic through ninjutsu. Meanwhile, Cait Sith, riding a moogle mount, swiftly maneuvers the battlefield and employs a unique Moogle Meter for buffing allies. Both characters boast a Synergy Ability named Moogle Pinwheel, promising an exciting combo attack with a secret ninja technique.

Elena, a rookie Turks unit member, and Captain Titov of the Shinra-8 cruise ship are introduced, marking significant narrative changes. The trailer showcases iconic and new locations, providing a fresh perspective on the Final Fantasy 7 world.

Square Enix offers various editions of Rebirth, including the Collector's Edition at $349.99, Deluxe Edition at $99.99, and Standard Edition at $69.99. Each edition includes unique in-game items, and pre-orders grant exclusive access to additional materia and items.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the Remake Trilogy, exploring beyond Midgar into familiar and new locations.
