ASUS unveils their new portable gaming system ROG Ally powered by AMD Ryzen and Windows 11
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled the ROG Ally, a powerful portable gaming system running on Windows 11 and powered by the new AMD Ryzen processor. Priced at $860 USD, preorders for the device are already open, with availability set for June 13.
The ROG Ally offers gamers the freedom to enjoy powerful gaming on the go, featuring a 7-inch 120Hz full HD display and physical controls similar to a regular gaming controller. Unlike previous handheld devices, it provides high-performance gaming with Full HD resolution and compatibility with games from any platform.
Running on Windows 11, the ROG Ally supports a wide range of applications and comes with a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Users can play games during their commute or connect the device to a TV for multiplayer gaming.
Powered by the new Ryzen Z1 Series processor from AMD, which combines Zen 4 architecture with AMD RDNA 3 graphics, the ROG Ally delivers console-level performance. It also incorporates the ROG zero gravity thermal system to keep the device cool.
With 16GB of high-speed LPDDR5 memory, 512GB of PCle Gen 4 storage, expandable storage options, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, the ROG Ally provides a complete gaming experience. It supports various gaming platforms and applications, including Steam, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and Android apps.
