Rev up your engines and buckle in because the highly-anticipated iRacing 2024 Season 4 is now live! With an exciting array of new content including three new cars, two new tracks, and a host of performance updates, there’s something to thrill every racer. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from this season's latest build:

New Cars to Hit the Track

  • BMW M4 G82 GT4: The newest addition to the GT4 grid, the BMW M4 G82 GT4, continues BMW's tradition of producing world-class racing machines. For the past two years, this car has been a dominant force, and now it’s available for multi-class series in iRacing. If you’ve recently purchased the F82 GT4, don’t worry you’ll receive credit compensation, and the F82 will still be supported as part of the Production Car Challenge.

  • Mini Stock and Dirt Mini Stock: Bringing a dose of versatility, the new Mini Stock is perfect for both paved and dirt oval racing. This sporty new car, powered by a 2.3-liter engine that produces over 200 horsepower, is available for free with your iRacing subscription. With the Mini Stock, you get a new and exciting way to experience the world of oval racing.

New Tracks and Rescans

  • Cadwell Park Circuit: One of England’s most iconic racing venues, Cadwell Park Circuit, has been added to iRacing, offering four unique configurations. Known for its tight turns and undulating terrain, this track is a must-try with the Legends car during Week 13!

  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: A fan favorite, Spa has been completely rescanned for the 2024 season. Featuring four all-new configurations, it promises a fresh racing experience. If you already own the previous version, you’ll get these new scans for free. New buyers will receive both the new and old versions in their purchase.

  • Circuit Zolder: This classic circuit has received a visual overhaul, bringing it up to the latest graphical standards. Expect crisper visuals and a more immersive racing environment!

Dynamic Weather, AI, and More

  • Rain Racing: New season, new challenges! iRacing has expanded rain-enabled cars to include the M4 G82 GT4, TCR class, Ford Mustang FR500S, and Renault Clio. For an added twist, you can now select a "spotty rain" option in timeline weather mode to simulate scattered showers, adding a new layer of unpredictability to your races.

  • AI Racing Enhancements: You can now launch an AI session directly from an Official session with AI-enabled cars. The new paved cars and all configurations for Cadwell and the Spa re-scan have been added to the AI-enabled roster. This is perfect for practicing before diving into an online multiplayer race.

New Features to Enhance Your Racing Experience

  • Multi-Class Official Series Distributed Splits Algorithm: This innovative algorithm promises to improve manufacturer diversity in races while maintaining optimal competitive groupings. This means more realistic and varied grids in selected multi-class series.

  • Tire Pre-Conditioning: To improve the experience of standing starts, cars will now have pre-warmed tires and brakes from a simulated parade lap. Get ready for more precise and competitive starts!

  • Natural Clutch Variance: Experience a more authentic racing feel with a small natural bite variance in clutch behavior, providing subtle variations for a more realistic simulation.

  • New Environment Sounds Audio Codec: The new audio codec ensures high-quality sounds with reduced storage requirements, preserving the immersive sound experience without hogging space.

  • Shared Lone Qualify Replay: Now you can watch all other drivers’ qualifying laps in your replays, offering new insights and helping you up your game.

With these updates and features, the 2024 Season 4 build of iRacing is set to provide its most immersive and varied racing experience yet. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a rookie, there’s plenty to get excited about in this season's release. So, gear up and hit the tracks see you at the finish line!
