The Boys unite with Call of Duty in exciting collaboration featuring Black Noir’s return
Black Noir, a character from Prime Video's "The Boys," is making a surprising comeback through a collaboration with the popular video game franchise Call of Duty. The announcement was made in a press conference video released by Vought International, the fictional corporation overseeing The Seven superheroes.
Although Black Noir met his end in Season 3, his return is explained in the video. A text card at the beginning reveals that the press conference was filmed prior to his secret mission and Starlight's betrayal of The Seven.
Fans can expect the collaboration to unfold in the midseason update of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Season 4 Reloaded. Each character from The Boys will receive their own Operator Bundle, with Starlight's bundle launching on July 12, followed by Homelander's on July 16, and Black Noir's on July 20. These bundles, priced at 2,400 COD Points each, will feature exclusive items like weapon charms, loading screens, weapon stickers, and emblems.
The partnership between The Boys and Call of Duty was initially teased in a Season 4 trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, which premiered during Geoff Keighley's Summer Games Fest. While awaiting the release of The Boys Season 4, showrunner Eric Kripke mentioned that its timing depends on the ongoing Hollywood writers' strike. In the meantime, fans can anticipate updates about the Prime Video spinoff Gen V, with a panel scheduled for San Diego Comic-Con in the upcoming weeks.
