Hogwarts Legacy Breaks Twitch Records with 1.28M Peak Concurrent Viewers

Hogwarts Legacy, the highly anticipated open-world action RPG set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, has finally been released and the game has been met with widespread excitement from fans, and huge success on Steam and Twitch. After months of waiting, fans finally have the opportunity to attend classes, explore the magical world of Hogwarts and to uncover the mysteries hidden within the iconic wizarding school.

The early access release of Hogwarts Legacy has seen huge success, with the game reaching an all-time concurrent player peak on Steam of 489,139, making it the 2nd highest single player game behind Cyberpunk 2077, and one of the most popular games on the platform. This number is only expected to grow as more players gain access to the game.

In addition to the massive player count on Steam, Hogwarts Legacy has also been a huge hit on Twitch, with over 1.28 million concurrent viewers tuning in to watch streamers play the game at launch. The success of the early access release has shown that there is a huge demand for immersive, open-world games set in the world of Harry Potter, and fans are eager to explore every nook and cranny of the magical school.

Hogwarts Legacy has also been given a 9/10 review by IGN saying that the game is able to capture “all the excitement and wonder of the Wizarding World” while delivering “memorable new characters, challenging and nuanced combat, and a wonderfully executed Hogwarts student fantasy”.
