Naughty Dog confirm next game but don’t reveal if it’s The Last of Us 3

Naughty Dog, the renowned video game development studio, has chosen its next project, according to a confirmation by the studio’s co-president Neil Druckmann. However, he did not reveal whether the project would be a new IP or the much-awaited The Last of Us Part 3.

During an episode of the Kinda Funny Spoilercast, Druckmann acknowledged that fans are eager for The Last Of Us Part 3. However, he stated that they were already working on their next project, which had been selected after a lot of consideration. While he didn't give away any details, he did emphasize that the studio picked the project they were most passionate about.

Druckmann also mentioned that Naughty Dog's next release would be The Last of Us multiplayer game, and they would share more information about it later this year. He confirmed that it was unlikely that the studio's next project would be related to Uncharted, as they were moving on from that franchise.

Although Druckmann did not confirm whether the studio's next project was The Last of Us Part 3, he did mention that he had written a story outline for another game in the series in 2021. He clarified that the studio was not currently working on that game.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to the upcoming PC release of The Last of Us Part 1 on March 28, as well as the multiplayer game, which is expected to be the studio's next release.
