Konami Unveils Stunning Gameplay for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake at Xbox Partner Preview
In a dazzling showcase at the Xbox Partner Preview event, Konami treated fans to a sneak peek at the highly anticipated remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, leaving audiences awestruck.
The gameplay trailer, though concise, masterfully demonstrated the iconic stealth gameplay that the series is known for. Viewers were treated to exhilarating scenes, including Snake's suspenseful encounter with a crocodile as he stealthily traversed through the water. The trailer also showcased Snake preparing to eliminate an enemy with a silenced pistol attachment, ratcheting up the excitement.
Perhaps the most groundbreaking revelation of the event was the confirmation that the game will be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 5, a development that corroborated earlier speculations. Beyond the brief gameplay sequences, the teaser also offered a mesmerizing glimpse of Metal Gear Solid 3 running on Unreal Engine 5. The footage featured numerous in-game environments and immersive close-ups of wildlife, such as serpents slithering in the grass and frogs gracefully navigating the waters.
The remake, officially titled "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater," was initially announced during the Sony State of Play event in May, perplexing fans with the inclusion of the Delta (Δ) symbol instead of the number 3. Konami clarified that the symbol was added to signify the substantial changes being made to the game, which first graced screens nearly two decades ago.
Despite the notable alterations, the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will preserve the original's essence by reusing the iconic voice lines that fans have cherished over the years.
