Netflix and Roblox Team Up to Create a Virtual Theme Park Experience
Roblox and Netflix have joined forces once again to create an exciting new digital amusement park experience called Netflix Nextworld. This collaboration builds upon their previous partnerships, where Netflix created its own group and world within Roblox to promote various shows like Sonic Prime and Stranger Things through special in-game events.
The previous Stranger Things: Starcourt Mall Roblox event, for example, allowed fans to explore the iconic Starcourt Mall from the show. Players could complete quests to earn Star Coins, which could then be used to purchase items from the in-game shop. While this event concluded last year, Netflix is now offering fans a new way to immerse themselves in the worlds of their favourite shows through Netflix Nextworld.
Netflix Nextworld serves as a digital theme park within Roblox, offering fans the opportunity to explore various worlds inspired by Netflix's lineup of TV shows. Some of the shows currently featured in Netflix Nextworld include Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, the live-action One Piece series, and Rebel Moon. These 3D interactive spaces are all accessible through an Early Access launch, allowing fans to dive into their favourite Netflix universes like never before.
The initial launch of Netflix Nextworld includes three distinct worlds that can be accessed through a central hub world. These worlds are Stranger Things: Escape from Hawkins High, One Piece: East Blue Brawls, and Rebel Moon: Outskirts Battle. Each world is populated by characters from the respective shows, such as Dustin from Stranger Things, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, anhttps://www.netflix.comd Jimmy from Rebel Moon.
In addition to exploring these immersive worlds, players can engage in various mini-games within Netflix Nextworld. These games range from a guessing game called Is It Cake to a karate-themed balancing board game inspired by Cobra Kai. As players progress through the game, they can collect objects and wearables from different Netflix shows and movies to customize their in-game avatar or decorate their "Fan Pod," which serves as their personal space within the virtual theme park.
Players can earn currency in Netflix Nextworld to unlock exclusive items, including limited User-Generated Content like a One Piece-themed flag. The theme park will also host social events and premieres, such as the upcoming limited-time Jurassic World: Chaos Theory event scheduled for May 17th. Netflix Nextworld offers fans a unique and immersive way to experience their favourite Netflix shows and movies within the vibrant world of Roblox.
