Fallout London Nears Release as Dev Team Declares 'End Is in Sight

The much-anticipated Fallout 4 mod, Fallout London, is approaching its release as developer Team FOLON declared "the end is in sight." The team is currently waiting for final quality assurance tests to be completed.

In a recent post on X/Twitter, Team FOLON confirmed that it had sent "several builds'' of Fallout London to GOG and is awaiting the "final green light." "Once they've completed the process of double-checking that Fallout: London and its installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go," stated Team FOLON. The team expressed gratitude for GOG's assistance and emphasised the importance of this final QA process.

Fallout London was initially scheduled for release on April 23, 2024, but a surprise Fallout 4 update from Bethesda caused delays. "We've just been tweaking and testing non-stop to get things as stable as we can," said Team FOLON project lead Dean Carter. The team feared that the update, released just 48 hours after their planned launch, could disrupt their work.

Carter also expressed frustration with Bethesda's lack of communication about the update. "That has, for lack of a better term, sort of screwed us over, somewhat,” he said.

Despite these challenges, the team remains dedicated to delivering a stable and polished mod. Fallout London, featuring Baldur's Gate 3 actor Neil Newbon, will allow players to explore a post-apocalyptic London with diverse factions, including “stuffy parliamentary aristocrats, a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table, and an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries."

While Bethesda continues to update Fallout 76 and plans Fallout 5 after The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout London promises an immersive experience for fans. Stay tuned to DailyGamer for the latest updates.
