Squanch Games announces that High on Life has finally arrived to Playstation
High on Life, the comedic shooter that had a seven-month exclusivity on Xbox, has finally arrived on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, much to the delight of eager fans. The announcement came as a pleasant surprise during the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, where Squanch Games, the developer behind the game, revealed the exciting news.
Studio director Mike Fridley expressed his gratitude to the devoted fans for their continuous support and patience. He mentioned that they had been thrilled with the positive reception High on Life received since its initial launch in December. While the game had been a resounding success, the PlayStation community had been eagerly awaiting its release on their platform, and now their wait was finally over.
The success of High on Life led Squanch Games to announce the first DLC update titled "High on Knife." This upcoming expansion introduces new characters and challenges for players to enjoy. Harper, a brand-new talking gun character voiced by Sarah Sherman of Saturday Night Live fame, will be a thrilling addition. Additionally, players will encounter a goopy new boss named Mux, whose voice comes courtesy of Gabourey Sidibe from "Precious" and "American Horror Story."
However, it is worth noting that the original voice actor for Kenny, Justin Roiland, who lent his talents to the gun character, has since left the studio after facing domestic violence allegations. As a result, he won't be featured in the upcoming DLC.
