Assassin's Creed Mirage Unveils Exciting Updates with New Game+ and Permadeath Modes

Assassin's Creed Mirage is set to receive a major upgrade with the introduction of a New Game+ mode and an optional permadeath mode, both available for all difficulty levels. The free update, scheduled for release in December, was announced via the official Assassin's Creed X/Twitter account.

The announcement, which assured players that their feedback had been heard, promised an immersive experience for both new and seasoned Assassins. The tweet from Assassin's Creed's account read, "We hear you: New Game+ mode for Assassin's Creed Mirage will be available in a free update this December. And for the expert Assassins, along with NG+ will come an optional permadeath mode also available across all difficulties! More details to come soon."

Assassin's Creed Mirage, launched in October, has already proven to be a success, aligning with the performance of its predecessors, such as Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey. Notably, Ubisoft disclosed a quirky in-game achievement, revealing that players have collectively petted 1.2 million street cats.

In our review of Assassin's Creed Mirage, we acknowledged the game's return to its stealthy roots, praising its purposeful execution. Despite not being flawless, the game's back-to-basics approach was deemed a successful step, earning a recommendation for both lapsed Assassin's Creed players and those new to the series. As the release date for the update approaches, anticipation builds for the additional details promised by the developers.
