Overwatch 2 Is Having A Bad launch Day With Issues Even Logging In!
Players keen to jump straight into Overwatch 2 are facing long queue times and error messages due to a DDoS attack (Denial-of-service attack). The Head of Blizzard Entertainment did send out some tweets letting everyone know that there are some issues but they are working as quickly as they can to get it all fixed.
There has always been a past of Major Multiplayer struggling with first day releases with usually a huge amount of players to get in as soon as it comes out causing long queues if they can even get in at all!
"Teams are working hard on server issues with Overwatch 2. We are humbled by the excitement of players and will continue to focus on issues and get players into the fun! Thanks for your patience. ❤️" Mike Ybarra the president tweeted about the issues!
There have been reports of other issues like missing cosmetics and complications with players that have had to merge their Overwatch 2 Battenet accounts. Of course fans have managed to find a workaround. PC players that can freely choose their servers have been able to log in via the Asia servers. At the risk of overloading those servers and suffering through high ping rates, fans can get into games and continue grinding the new Overwatch 2 Battle Pass levels. But success seems to vary for players.
Hopefully this will get sorted asap and we can all go back to enjoying this very fun game.
