Ghostly Adventures and Racing Thrills: PlayStation Plus Games for November 2024

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Essential games lineup for November 2024, headlined by GhostWire: Tokyo, Death Note: Killer Within, and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. Starting November 5, these three titles will be available to PS Plus subscribers at no additional cost.

GhostWire: Tokyo (PS5)

In GhostWire: Tokyo, players step into a ghostly vision of Tokyo where spirits haunt the city’s neon-lit streets. Developed by Tango Gameworks, this action-adventure game combines a deeply atmospheric design with a richly detailed recreation of Tokyo. While the game's eerie visual style has earned acclaim, some critics noted that the gameplay itself falls slightly short of its visual and narrative ambitions.

Death Note: Killer Within (PS4, PS5)

Making a surprise debut, Death Note: Killer Within launches directly on PlayStation Plus as a Day-One release. This social deduction game is inspired by the popular Death Note anime and manga, aiming to bring a high-stakes twist on deception-based gameplay akin to Among Us. Little is known yet about its mechanics, but fans can expect a blend of intrigue and strategy that captures the essence of the original anime’s mind games.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged (PS4, PS5)

Rounding out November’s selection is Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, an arcade racing game lauded for its attention to detail and high-speed thrills. IGN rated it 8/10, praising its sleek visuals, robust arcade mechanics, and blistering speed. However, the game has received mixed feedback for not fully catering to a broad age range of players.

All three games will remain available for download through December 2, 2024. Meanwhile, players who still want to grab October’s PS Plus games, including Dead Space, WWE 2K24, and Doki Doki Literature Club, have until November 5 to add them to their library.
