Runescape Graphical Update

Jagex have recently made graphical updates to free to play areas of the game. Now players can view nostalgic favorites such as Lumbridge, Varrock and Barbarian Village in a new light (literally).

In a recent post, Mod Blkwitch discussed that it is not the full rework they would like to do, which would require large multidisciplinary teams. Jagex went for the easy win changes such as updating the lighting, changing the terrain/textures, and swapping out the spiky grass for new foliage.

The team at Jagex plan to rework various other areas to maintain a graphical consistency throughout the game. They are hopeful that the updates and future updates will meet fans expectations and visual standards.
