Diablo 4's seasonal model will have about 80 hours of content per Battle Pass
Diablo 4, set to release on the 6th of June, will have a seasonal model similar to its predecessor, and it appears that players will have a lot of content to explore. In a recent interview with PC Gamer associate game director, Joe Piepiora, revealed that players can expect to spend around 80 hours completing each season's battle pass, which includes completing the season journey and other in-game content. However, leveling a character to level 100 could take a bit longer depending on how the player chooses to play.
The interview also revealed details on how the battle pass system will work. Each season, players will begin with a new seasonal character that starts at level 1. By working through season-specific objectives, players can level up their character to level 100 and move along the battle pass. Like other games with live-service elements, the battle pass will have one free track for all players and a premium paid track with cosmetic rewards. However, Piepiora stated that players who aren't interested in the endgame seasonal grind can skip it altogether and return when a story update happens without being left behind.
Piepiora also emphasized that Diablo 4 is primarily an action RPG and not an MMO, and the game is not designed to make players feel like they have to play forever. This means that players who are interested in playing Diablo 4 for the story and don't want to participate in the seasonal grind can still enjoy the game without feeling like they're missing out on anything.
