WOW Classic Lich King is weeks from launch & the servers are on fire with overcrowding!

World of Warcraft Classic Lich King expansion is only weeks away and its causing a huge overflow of players as the EU and US servers are seeing hours-long queues. Lich King being one of Blizzards best expansions people are keen to get stuck in before the release of the WOW Classic version and Blizzard are trying to fix it before that time comes. Players will no longer be able to create new characters or transfer existing ones to the most packed servers, until the populations decrease.

"We’ve been hesitant to [do] this because we really dislike restricting player movements and potentially breaking up social circles, but that ethos is no longer compatible with the reality we find ourselves in,"

They are however offering players the chance to move their characters for free to servers that aren’t as packed. They did say they are coming up with other incentives to even distrubute players across all the servers.

I think go only be a good sign for Blizzard as they have seen some of the highest number of players jumping back to the game in sight of this new WOW Classic expansion!
