Netflix is Starting Its Own Internal Game Studio in Finland
Netflix is finally stepping up there promise for good games on their platform, and it has announced the founding of an internal game studio. They are currently focused mainly on television shows and movies when it comes to media but as we have seen recently with major collaborations with video game publishers such as CD Projekt Red and Riot there looks like a big correlation between well made TV Shows that are linked with gaming. After the success of popular and critically acclaimed Arcane and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners saw a huge increase in player count especially from Cyberpunk 2077 who managed to peak at the highest concurrent players since launch!
The apparent amount of synergy between the two forms of media, could mean Netflix will use there new studio, which will be based in Helsinki Finland, to create games with the intention to turn them into TV shows to increase player count of the games.
This internal studio would be built from scratch and would join Next Games, Night School Studio, and Boss Fight Entertainment to form the core of Netflix's video games branch. It will bolster Netflix’s efforts to bring “engaging original games” to their hundreds of millions of subscribers around the world, vice president of Netflix’s Game Studios said.
Currently there is no mention if all this investment into the gaming side of Netflix with affect the normal subscription, right now it’s still included in your normal payment so get playing now incase that changes!
